TRBI will REPLACE all TRBI ATM Debits with EMV-enabled cards with no charge beginning April 2017. This move is in compliance with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circular 859 mandating banks to shift to EuroPay, MasterCard & Vis (EMV).
ATM Debit Card Cardholders can get their replacement card from their branch of account. For identified payroll accounts, the replacement process will be arranged by branches with the respective employer/companies.
Clients will receive an SMS notification once their EMV-enabled ATM Debit Cards are available for pick-up on their respective branch of account.

Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. celebrated its 64th year of providing wide range of business solutions and uplifting the lives of the “common tao” last March 28, 2018. The celebration started with a thanksgiving mass held at Sto. Tomas, Batangas Corporate Office and was led by Rev. Father Eusebio Bobot. It was attended by employees from different branches who are undeniably proud of what the bank has achieved for the past 64 years.
The mass was followed by a “Bank a Day Caravan” which was organized due to the bank’s aim of encouraging the people of CALABARZON to save with an affordable low-maintaining balance.
A group of 125 children together with their parents celebrated with the bank and opened a Kiddie Builders Savings Account. The Sto Tomas Branch was delighted to welcome and accommodate the guests on their financial needs.
Every parent was cooperative and attentive on the process of account opening. Despite the sun’s heat, genuine smiles are evident as the parents are confident that their children will learn to save at their early age.
It has been a long day celebration but was a remarkably success to the bank. Meanwhile, the other 7 branches also organized their Bank a Day Caravan respectively.
TRBI continues to provide an excellent service to the people of CALABARZON and visualizes itself to be the rural bank of Luzon.

Tomas, Batangas. The event featured inspirational thoughts from the most sought-after resource speaker MR. FRANCIS J. KONG with the theme "GROWING BUSINESS THAT GROWS".
Following the history of the bank, a welcome speech from the CEO/President Mr. Jaymar G. Mendoza, giving insights on the how TRBI have become during the past decades and investment forms to augment the bank-client relationship; followed by an inspiring message from the Chairman, Dr. Gerardo M. Castillo who have been hands on with the bank for over 20 years.
On a very rare moment, a recognition from other organization, The City Cooperative of Sta. Rosa represented by Mr. Paulo Velasco, EnP. was awarded to TRBI for being an active member of the said organization. Consequently, as the Guest Speaker Mr. Francis J. Kong started his talk, the guests were all ears and had participated whenever questions or instructions were thrown to them. One of the participants said "there was never a dull moment and the place was perfect for the occasion."

Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. has extended its payment facility for SME Loan payment through Palawan Pawnshop. The memorandum of agreement, signed by representatives of both parties (Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. and Eight Under Par Inc. or most commonly known as Palawan Pawnshop) on August 9, 2016.
TRBI SME Loan borrowers can pay their amortization at any Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala business partners, and authorized agents excluding SM Malls. Using the alternative channels, clients may opt to pay their loan amortization at their most convenient time.
Palawan Pawnshop has been in this domestic money remittance business since 2003. And to date, they now have over 3,154 branches nationwide.×

PeraLINK offers security, reliability, and high-quality service to Filipino domestic remittance clients. Through PeraLINK, clients can transact at any TRBI branch; they can send money from one bank and claim it from a non-bank institution, as long as both are PeraLINK members.
Currently, PeraLINK increased its members to 26 companies with 4,000 branches nationwide.

TRBI installed its first offsite ATM in iMall Canlubang last May 25, 2015. iMall Canlbuang is located at J. Yulo cor. C. Araneta, Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna.
BancNet, iMall Canlubang has the most number of ATM Transactions nationwide. Thus, TRBI was motivated to put banking convenience to serve them better especially employess working in industrial parks near the said location.
To date, the Bank has a total of 8 branches strategically located in South Luzon and 1 new offsite ATM. TRBI President, Dr. Gerardo M. Castillo, together with the support of the banking group heads, is currently planning to deliver banking convenience by adding more offsite ATMs in CALABARZON area.
The month of January for the people of San Pablo City, Laguna was indeed a very colorful one. It is when the annual Coco Festival took place. The Coconut Festival is a week-long celebration in San Pablo, Laguna, in honor of their patron Saint Paul the Hermit. It is held every first to second week of January. It is a celebration started in 1996. The festival consists of street dancing, float parade, street concerts, nightly programs before the city fiesta and some other important events like the yearly "Mutya at Lakan ng San Pablo".
On January 13, 2015, the street dancing and float parade in line with the Festival was held. Several schools located in the city’s premise participated on the street dancing. Flashy and well-thought out costumes were showcased by the street dancers. The streets of San Pablo town proper were filled with vibrant colors, festive music, and cheering crowds that made the already pumped mood of the festival a little bit higher. On the other hand, the float parade also was very stunning. Different organizations and companies joined the parade. Every float displayed was made out of coconut parts and must depict one of San Pablo City unique symbols. The parade made the night of January 13th more spectacular than ever.
“It is better to give than to receive”. As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program, TRBI fed 120 children of Brgy. San Antonio, Sto. Tomas, Batangas last December 6, 2014. The program started with a prayer led by one of the members of DSWD 4Ps or the "Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program". The Barangay Councilor then stated his welcoming remarks and expressed his gratitude to TRBI. Still, happiness never trembled down as the kids performed a dance number. Never-ending smile painted their faces and this marked the true essence of Christmas.
To start the Holiday season with clean and green environment, TRBI held its CSR Program “Red Meets Green” last November 29, 2014. The bank adopted Brgy. San Antonio, Sto. Tomas, Batangas to promote environmental campaign. There were over 30 employees divided into two clusters who participated the said program. In accordance with the cleaning program, DSWD 4Ps helped the TRBI employees in clearing the street sides. TRBI will continue to perform community extension in the following years.
Last October 19, 2014, Santa Rafaela Maria School held its annual Family Day at Singson Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. Different families gathered and participated in the said event wearing their team’s color. Proud daddies and mommies supported their children as they grace the stage in their class’ production numbers. Smartphones, digital cameras, and tablets were crowding in the front of stage as the parents were capturing the moment. There were also fun games that families joined in.
One of the major sponsor of the event is the TRBI. Aside from the info drive they conducted during the program, they also gave free bottled mineral water to the booth’s visitors. As for the kids, they gave red balloons which they really enjoyed and loved.
Santa Rafaela Maria School is located at 55 C. Salvador St., Loyola Heights, Quezon City. It is owned and operated by the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
It was indeed a great pleasure for the TRBI Family to be part of Pepsi Family Day. Held last September 29 at Brgy. San Miguel, Sto. Tomas, Batangas, employees of Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc. brought their families and enjoyed their time together as the management produced whole day program with fun and exciting activities. There are also performers from different departments that set the stage on high. People were going crazy when guys dance their hearts out in the choreography of their own cheer dance. Games were very entertaining to watch. Families were eager to join and play. After lunch, magic and puppet show for the kids began. Enot the Puppet took the limelight and delivered the funniest skit ever played. Children loved him.
TRBI was chosen as one of the sponsor of this event. They conducted a mini game right after the puppet show where in the host asked the audience random questions about the bank. Answers are found on the flyers given earlier. If the people were really paying attention to the flyers, they can answer the questions. Luckily, there were two persons who answered right. They got FlexiSavers Certificate which entitled them to Savings Account worth Php 500.

Last August 16, 2014 Rotaract’s Batangas Area wide mass Induction happened at Modesto Hall, Tanauan City. TRBI act as one of the major sponsor of the said event. The event’s theme was sports. The Grand Slam Batangas Area Mass Induction was attended by the group heads of Sales Department and Business Development Division. Wearing their best sports attire, Mr. Randolph Reano and Ms Daiby Anne Bonifacio happily represent the TRBI family. During the event, outcoming and incoming officers of different Rotaract’s area were initiated. The whole event was a celebration of success and memories made through unchanging bonding of the members. Of course, in between breaks TRBI was promoted and mentioned. TRBI wishes all the best to the Rotaract family.
Corn is the one of the main agricultural product of Tiaong, Quezon. For this year annual festival, the Tiaong government chose it as the festival’s theme that will bring the town’s name into legacy. They only hope that the annual Corn Festival of Tiaong, Quezon will get institutionalized. In part of this celebration, Tiaong government organized Corn Float Parade. Different organizations, business establishments and baranggays participated in the parade. Each float was decorated with recyclable materials depicting the theme. As one of the leading bank in the province of Tiaong, TRBI joined the fun. Among the participating companies and organizations are Rural Bank of Dolores, Cebuana Lhuillier, Rotary Club of Tiaong, Villa Escudero and Don Ramon Builders. From 6 AM until 12 noon, the parade circulated the whole town proper of Tiaong. The majestic floats of each participants were lined up in the middle of the road as the town’s people were feasting their eyes on the beautiful scenery. TRBI is honored to be part of this historic event.
The 60 years of TRBI was featured in 61st Annual National Convention Souvenir Program of Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP). The feature story write-up highlighted the willingness of TRBI to embrace innovations. Also, it looked back to TRBI’s humble beginnings. Written in the first part is the glimpse of the company’s modest starting point – back in the small garage where it all started. Moreover, it reiterated the instances wherein the company served as a catalyst in technological innovation in banking industry in rural areas like Tiaong, Quezon. The write-up also included the vision of the TRBI which is the continuous growth and expansion of its network to at least 16 branches in the next five years.
The RBAP 61st Annual National Convention happened last May 21-22 in SMX Convention Center Davao. The said convention was attended by prestigious names in banking industry including our very own President and Chairman, Dr. Gerardo M. Castillo.

On October 4 - 6, 2013, TRBI conducted its 2013 Officers’ Development Workshop in the very wonderful, peaceful and solemn place of Mount Purro Nature Reserve Camp Explore located at Antipolo, Rizal. The workshop was conducted to equip the officers with the right skills, mind-set and resources in career management to determine and achieve their full potential in their careers and in their lives.
Numerous self-assessment tools were used to help them define their life themes and life dreams and turn them into career objectives. These assessment tools were discussed and analyzed during the first session of the workshop.
The second session of the workshop focused on the alignment of organization and understanding of the functionalities and process of each department.
Truly TRBI officer’s workshop in Camp Explore was indeed a fruitful and great experience.
In recognition of the efforts put forth by the bank for rural development cause and its unwavering commitment to innovation, Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. was featured at this year’s International Visit Study Program of the Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association – Center for Training and Research in Agricultural Banking held on Oct. 10, 2013 at TRBI Sto. Tomas, Batangas. APRACA CENTRAB is an association of mostly government agencies and financial institutions that serves as a hub for sharing knowledge and best practices among its members in 21 countries.
With the theme “Revolutionizing the Global Banking Industry through Mobile Phone”, the event was highlighted by an engaging forum participated by delegates from India, Bangladesh, Iran and Sri Lanka composed mostly of senior level bank officers and central bankers. Fellowship ensued after the program as the distinguished visitors were treated to the relaxing ambience of the countryside.
With the theme: “Lakad, Takbo, Padyak Tiaongin para sa Kalikasan”, Tiaong Rural Bank joined more than 400 runners, bikers and nature lovers who gathered on April 20, 2013 at the Municipal Grounds of Tiaong, Quezon, for the celebration of Earth Day. The event aims to raise funds for various environmental programs of the local government of Tiaong.
The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) celebrated its 55th Charter Anniversary Symposium at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic Manila Hotel on November 19-20, 2012. The convention brought together stakeholders, partners, key players and regulators of the rural banking industry. Informative seminars were conducted by distinguished speakers and raffle prizes were given by generous sponsors.
It was indeed a memorable event as Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. (TRBI) received recognition for it’s more than 50 years of service in the rural banking industry. To increase awareness of the mass market of what TRBI can offer, the bank has now launched its first ever "Project Caravan".
With this project, TRBI will now be seen doing aggressive sales blitzes in nearby areas like schools and universities, villages and subdivisions, and in other localized events. It also aims to leave a memorable good impression not only to their existing clients but also to its potential clients as well.
The first sales blitz was held at Polytechnic University of the Philippines last October 1, October 4 and October 5, 2012. This project was made possible with the help of Mr. Severino Espiritu (P.U.P. Director), group of Sales and Marketing of TRBI headed by Ms. Joy Sto.Domingo-Villa (VP for Branch Marketing and Sales Division) together with the assistance of Business Development Division and Admin, truly TRBI's 1st ever sales blitz was a success.
In line with the implementation of the PhilPaSS Participant Browser for the banks who have successfully completed the mandatory VPN Connectivity testing, Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas invited Tiaong Rural Bank, to participate on a briefing session and hands-on training last September 7, 2012 at , BSPI Training Room, EDPC Bldg. Familiarization of participating banks' registered users on the use of the facility is the main purpose of this training.
